During the last quarter of 2010, "My Only Wish" was launched by Simpson's label as the first single from Happy Christmas in the United States.

It was released on November 11, 2010 on Ryan's radio show Seacrest. The song had positive reviews, but the subject was compared with "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey.^[1][2]
