(2010)"My Life is Like a Movie" is a Hip hop song written and recorded by DeStorm Power. It is about his personal struggles and his rise to fame. Like most in the genre, the song follows standard 4/4 timing. It is currently DeStorm's most successful single to date.
Background
DeStorm wrote this song on a challenge to name drop at least 100 movies on a serious song. It talks deals with various aspects in his life such as Child Abuse, Poverty and Racism among others. The concept was reused for his songs "Get Your Game Up", "Around the World in a Day", "Animal", "Survival", "Rappers Rap-Up", "AMAs Song" and "Back to the 90's", using Video Games, Countries, Animals, TV, Musicians and 90's objects respectively instead of Movies. DeStorm performed it live on What's Trending on August 22nd, 2011.[1]
