On 6 February 2010, it was selected as the Norwegian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, held in Bærum in May 2010. It won the Norwegian final by a landslide, beating the second place with almost twice as many votes.[1][2]
In Norway, there was much discussion about Solli-Tangen's English pronunciation of the word "heart", as it could sound like he sang hard, resulting in the line "my hard is yours".[3]
At the Eurovision final, Norway came 20th out of 25, with 35 points.
'My Heart Is Yours' was certified Platinum[4] in Norway and received dance mixes by 7th Heaven.
