Multiplan (BM&F Bovespa) is one of the leading Brazilian developers of shopping malls. It develops, operates and holds one of the best portfolios of shopping malls in the country. The company is established as a full service company, which plans, builds and manages shopping malls, and develops residential and commercial ventures, creating synergies with activities related to shopping malls.

The Company manages 13 shopping malls and owns one in development, with more than 3,000 stores and over 500 thousand square meters of GLA, with an estimated traffic of 146 million consumers in 2008, which puts the company, according to ABRASCE, the Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers between the best stewards of Shopping Centers in Brazil. Multiplan owns a majority position in ten of the 13 shopping malls it manages.

Business Activities

In the business of shopping centers, the company earns revenue by leasing space to shops and merchandising, assignment of rights for tenants, service and marketing and administration of shopping centers and operation of parks lots.

In addition to operating in business of shopping centers, the company also operates in the incorporation of residential and commercial buildings for sale. Already completed over 45 large projects in Brazil and in the world. The revenue of the company in the business of residential real estate and business are derived from the sale of these units.
