Mubasher Lucman is a Pakistani talk show host.[1] His subjects range from politics to social engineering to astrology.[citation needed] He writes not only in Urdu but also in the English dailies.[citation needed] Mr Lucman is also a film director and has produced and directed several commercials, television plays besides a feature film.[citation needed] He is currently writing a book on suicide bombers.[citation needed]

Mr Lucman has been in politics too when he was a Minister for both the Federal as well as the Provincial governments at the same time.[citation needed] He is a supporter of MQM (Mutahida Qaumi Movement).[citation needed]

Apparently most of his following is amongst the youth of the country as according to a recent poll he was voted as the most sought after personality to deliver lectures in universities and colleges in Karachi.[citation needed] His contributions for the flood victims in Pakistan are regarded highly.[citation needed] He is also considered one of the most influential opinion makers in the country.[citation needed] His views are often blunt, open and candid enough to shock a lot of people at the same time.[citation needed] His supportive attitude toward MQM makes him less reliable and biased.[citation needed] Mubasher Lucman is also known for his stance over the Mumbai incident featuring Ajmal kasab.[citation needed] He is widely travelled and his columns are translated in several languages in various countries.[citation needed]

His father was a high ranking officer of the Pakistan army followed by his two brothers, both of whom joined the armed forces to serve the country.[citation needed] Mr Lucman is well known for his investigative stories and in depth features on social issues from medical help to poverty alleviation.[citation needed]
