Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital was founded in 1922 to take care of children with complex health problems[2].
In 2002, the hospital became part of the North Arundel Health Care System in Glen Burnie. That year, they promoted Sheldon Stein to be the hospital's CEO[3].
In 2006, the Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland Medical System jointly took cooperative control of the hospital[4].
Programs operated
The hospital has been recognized for it success in operating a program that helps overweight children keep off their weight[5].
Major contributors
The hospital has recognized Oriole third baseman Melvin Mora and his wife Gisel as major contributors to the organization[6].
