Monterey Bay Botanical Garden is a new botanical garden located in the Monterey Bay area of northern California. It is currently (2011) in the developmental phase. Its founder, Walter L. Wagner, is also the founder of the World Botanical Gardens on the Big Island of Hawaii. He is also the discoverer of the Umauma Falls Overlook, formerly part of the World Botanical Gardens. The Monterey Bay Botanical Garden is being designed as the premier botanical garden of northern California, and its main feature is the phylogenetic layout[1] of the main garden.
