CBS Interactive, is a personal finance website that provides advice on retirement, investing, savings, career and real estate. Launched in April 2009, the site is an extension of BNET -- CBS Interactive’s Top 10 business media site.[1] The editor-in-chief is Eric Schurenberg. In addition to original feature stories and unique daily commentary, the site also offers original videos and daily business and financial news from broadcast powerhouse CBS News.[2] It is a part of the CBS Interactive business network alongside BNET, ZDNet, SmartPlanet and TechRepublic. The MoneyWatch name comes from a long-running series of business-oriented segments on the CBS Evening News.[3] Content CBS MoneyWatch.com has content in five main sections: Long View - Putting every day's economic and market developments in the context of your long-term financial plans. Stories focus on economic policy, recession and recovery, and job markets. Your Career - Focuses on career development, business schools, salary comparisons, staying healthy, life and disability insurance, and growing human capital. Saving and Spending - Deals with buying and selling real estate, paying for college, cutting taxes, and creating financial family strategies around the ways consumers spend and save money. Investing - Provides advice on long-term portfolio strategy, diversification, and minimizing investment costs. Retirement - Material focus: 401(k)s, Roths, IRAs and other retirement plans, pensions, annuities, reverse mortgages, and estate plans.
