(2009)Molecular Heinosity is the sixth solo album by keyborad player Derek Sherinian. Like Sherinian's first record Planet X, Molecular Heinosity opens with a trilogy. Titled "Antarctica", it features drummer Virgil Donati, guitarist Brett Garsed and bass guitarist Jimmy Johnson. Zakk Wylde, fretless bass guitarist Tony Franklin and drummer/guitarist Brian Tichy return for this record. The sound of this album is more oriented towards progressive metal than Sherinian's previous albums, having strong guitar riffs and fast keyboard and drum parts. Molecular Heinosity was recorded at Sherinian's Beachwood Manor Studios in Burbank, California.
