Dr. Mladen Savovich (born Mladen Savović February 5, 1950 in Sarajevo, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian structural engineer and professor of structural engineering.Dr. Savovich has published technical papers in international and Russian journals, has been a peer reviewer for the Institution of Civil Engineers, London, and has taught part-time at the Yugorsk State University, Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia. In 2005 Dr. Savovich received The Yugorsk State University Professional Development Award from the Rector of the University, Prof. Y. I. Reutov.
Dr. Savovich holds a B.Sc in Civil Engineering from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and an M.Sc. and D.Sc. from the University of Skopje, Yugoslavia.
Dr. Savovich has an international background and is fluent in Russian and English as well as his native Serbian.
Dr. Savovich has specialized in the design and research of steel, wood and concrete structural systems. He has designed numerous public buildings including their site and construction layout. He is also an experienced structural dynamics engineer having a considerable experience in many types of structural analysis, including modal techniques and direct integration to study dynamic response. Dr. Savovich co-founded El Dau Architectural & Structural Design Laboratory, Moscow in 2000, and has served as the Company Chairman since its inception. Dr. Mladen Savovich’s philosophy focuses on a cohesive building design team where the members contribute equally, resulting in unique and exceptional designs. El Dau embodies a new concept of space architecture: a minimal and pure structural system combined with lightness, proportion and elegance.
Presently he lives and works in Moscow.
