("The circulation of the French language and culture by the means of education abroad.")Website mlfmonde.org The Mission laïque française (MLF), or "French lay (or secular) mission", is a non-profit organization that works to spread the French language and culture by creating and running schools outside of France.[2][3]
School network
By the end of 2009, the MLF was running schools in 47 different countries[4]: Algeria, Bahrain, Bolivia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, China, Côte d’Ivoire, Croatia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Finland, Gabon, Guinea, Greece, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Laos, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago Turkey, UAE, the United Kingdom, and the United States.[5][6]
The 108 schools are divided into two networks: traditional schools and schools attached to businesses.
