Miss Smith Goes to Nashville was released in March 1966 and was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee between August and November 1965. The album was released on a 12-inch LP album, consisting of twelve tracks, with six tracks on each side of the vinyl record. The album was reviewed by Allmusic and received four and a half out of five stars, which is similar to the same amount[clarification needed] of stars her previous albums were given by the website.[2]
Release and aftermath
"If I Talk to Him" was the first single from the album and was released in late 1965. The song became a Top 10 hit, reaching a peak of #4 on the Billboard Magazine Hot Country Songs chart.
