Mira Monte Inn

Mira Monte Inn, is a historic Victorian building in Bar Harbor, Maine that now is a seventeen room bed and breakfast.

History

Originally a summer cottage the bed and breakfast was built in 1860 by a prominent member of the resort town of Bar Harbor. A fire in the summer of 1947 nearly threatened to burn the entire town. The Mira Monte Inn was fortunately unharmed while 397 other seasonal cottages were irreparably damaged.^[1] The home is located in the center of Harbor Village, which was included to the National Register of Historic Places. The home has been operating as a bed and breakfast for over thirty years.^[2]
