The Ministry of Health and Population is the ministry in charge of health and population in Egypt. Its headquarters are in Cairo. Ashraf Hatem is the current minister, serving since 22 February 2011. Former minister Professor Dr. Hatem El-Gabaly was appointed as Egypt’s Minister of Health in December 2005.
