Minety RFC is a rugby club located in North Wiltshire, between Malmesbury and Swindon. The rugby club consists of two teams. The current 1st team captain is Craig Smith, who was selected for the coming 2009/2010 season, taking over from former captain Martin Coe. Steve Murray is the 2nd team captain who continues from last years successful results. Its first XV are currently the highest ranked village rugby side in the country playing in Southern counties South. The 2nd XV are also on a high after being crowned 2008/2009 season champions of Dorset & Wiltshire Division 3. With all of this, the club is currently enjoying playing some of the best rugby it has in its history.

The clubs shirts this season were kindly provided by Mintey's sponsors DMR Mortgage Services. The shirts bear the initials of the late Dominic Rice, who was not only one of the firm's founding partners (and the "D" in "DMR"), but also a long-term vice-president, friend and generous benefactor of Minety RFC. Dominic was skipper and flyhalf of the Minety second team for many years and is proudly remembered as the teams take to the field each week to play the game that he so much enjoyed and to represent the club he did so much to support.

Follow this road, which will swing 90 degrees to the right after half a mile, to another crossroads opposite some newly built houses and by the Turnpike pub on the B4040. Go straight over and into Silver Street. The playing fields are up at the top of the hill on your left - signposted "Playing Fields".
