Vieira is also credited as the inventor of the anaconda choke. Milton is best known for his fight with former EliteXC Welterweight Champion, former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion, and current UFC welterweight contender Jake Shields. Vieira took part in the 2009 ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship in Barcelona, Spain, losing in the first round to Keita Nakamura. Milton recently signed a fight deal with Strikeforce.
