Mikey Sawyer is an 18 year old American Electronic Rock artist from Tulsa, Oklahoma. After putting out his Freshmen EP 'Goodbye To Sunny Skies', he signed a management deal with The Breathless Music Group (owned and operated by former Head A&R of Tragic Hero Records, Zach Duffany) in January 2011. Record label is pending for 2011.

History
Mikey Sawyer was founded in 2010, by Mikey Sawyer. Vocals to the 'Goodbye To Sunny Skies EP' were tracked at Tiger Hart Studios in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Sawyer then released the EP 4 weeks later for sale online. Since the album release on September 16, 2010, Sawyer has sold over 1,000 copies of the EP, and topped IAIRA Charts with his hit single 'All Stars Fall 2.0 ft Zeke Duhon'. His other 2 singles off the album 'BeLIEve in Me' and 'Goodbye To Sunny Skies' have played on commercial radio in Boston, Massachusetts , New York City, New York, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dallas, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, and Sacramento, California. He has has earned him notoriety among producers, industry pioneers,as well as his peers. Sawyer also released a bonus track; covering #1 chart topping single Vanilla Twilight by Owl City as a tribute to one of his musical influences. He played the song for the first time live at Ida Red, a storefront venue in his hometown on October 1, 2010, Zeke Duhon was also present to perform All Stars Fall 2.0 alongside Mikey. In addition to playing several Headlining shows in his hometown, he has also performed with the likes of Owl City, Attack Attack!, Frankie Muniz, Lets Get It, Alesana, Disco Curtis, Broadway and many other touring bands. Mikey Sawyer has also been linked in close association with the band Outline in Color, a recent video was put out by the Breathless Music Group featuring both Artists.
Mikey Sawyer was managed for a short period of time by Michael Skaggs, produced by See Jay Cochran, and past instrumentals were professionally engineered by Forrest Mankins. The three all currently play in OIC. Sawyer also has a brand new YouTube channel where he performs seemingly live, flawless covers of popular songs in one take such as Emarosa, A Day To Remember, Woe, is Me, and other signed acts. It has so far been very successful in marketing his EP.
Mikey Sawyer posted a recent blog on his Facebook fan page, stating he had been dropped from management from The Breathless Music Group, and was pursuing his new band Forever Sets The Sun. The six-piece metalcore band ranges in ages 17-18. The band is recording a full length album with See Jay Cochran at Tiger Hart Studios in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Aurora Tides' is the freshmen release of Forever Sets The Sun to be released on June 12, 2011. Band members for the debut album include Mikey Sawyer, DeAngelo Deranek on Drums, Charles Eugene Gafford III on Bass, Troy Proctor on Guitar, Dakota Elam on Screams, and Zackery Arvieux on Guitars.
