Miska Magyarics

Miska Magyarics official name Mihály Magyarics (Slovene: Miška Madjarič, Mihál Madjarič) (January 31, 1825January 8, 1883) was Hungarian Slovene poet.

Born was in Mali Dolenci in Kingdom of Hungary (present day Dolenci, Prekmurje, Slovenia) in the Šalovci municipality. His parents was Jakab Magyarics Roman Catholic peasant and Anna Messics. Magyarics in the second half of the 19th century by right of the tradition of his village wrote a catholic hymnal in prekmurian language (279 pages and 115 hymns).

He died in his village of birth, buried at Dolenci Cemetery near the St. Nicholas Church in January 10, 1883.
