MEA Center of Expertise was first launched on May 2010 with 60+ technology enthusiasts and experts to help Microsoft customers around Middle East & Africa region by bridging Microsoft tools & technologies to their businesses. The main aim of the newly established center is to solve customer business problems using Microsoft technologies and products. MEA CoEx is primarily focused on:
- Data Platform Solutions – This include SQL Server and related technologies & Solutions such as strategy management, business intelligence, reporting, data integration & storage.
- Microsoft Tools & technologies for Data Center – This include Microsoft Hyper-V & Microsoft System Center Suite.
- Business Productivity Solutions – Enterprise content management solutions, web content management solutions & collaboration infrastructure based on Microsoft SharePoint, Office, Fast among others.
- Unified Communications – This include Exchange Server & Office Communication Server (Lync). This set of technology provide a wide set of solutions covers messaging, communications, conferencing & telephony.
- Optimized Desktop – A set of technologies help Microsoft enterprise customers manage large scale desktop deployment. These set of technologies covers (not limited to), desktop virtualization, application virtualization & configuration management.
- Microsoft tools & technologies for Enterprise Project Management which include Microsoft Project (Client), Project Server & Microsoft SharePoint.
- Microsoft tools & technologies for identity & access management across the enterprise.
- Microsoft Windows Azure
