Early life
Born Eduardo Mikael De Mesa Eigenmann on 24 May 1960 to acclaimed performer Eddie Mesa and actress Rosemarie Gil, Michael De Mesa and his siblings Mark Gil and Cherie Gil grew up steeped in the arts. He is uncle of Gabby Eigenmann, Sid Lucero and their nieces Andi and Max Eigenmann.
Career
Beginning his acting career at age 15 in the 1975 film Araw-araw, gabi-gabi, De Mesa's career has spanned the last four decades and he remains active in film and television up to the present.
Personal life
De Mesa wed veteran actress Gina Alajar in 1978. Their marriage lasted 28 years before getting annulled in 2006, but bore three children, all of whom are in showbiz: Ryan, Geoff, and AJ Eigenmann. He is of Swiss German and Filipino descent.[1][2]He was recently married to Julie Reyes Eigenmann in California, U.S.A.
