Michael Currie (born Herman Christian Schwenk, Jr.; July 24, 1928 – December 22, 2009) was an American actor who appeared in several films and on television. He had a role in several Clint Eastwood movies; he played Lt. Donnelly in the fourth installment of the "Dirty Harry" film series Sudden Impact, and reprised his role as Capt. Donnelly in the 1988 sequel The Dead Pool.

Currie also had a role in the 1982 horror movie Halloween III: Season of the Witch, as Rafferty. Later that year, he also starred in the Clint Eastwood movie Firefox and co-starred with Eastwood in the 1980 comedy film Any Which Way You Can. His most recent film was G.I. Jane in 1997.

Currie starred in the 1960s cult TV show Dark Shadows as Sheriff Jonas Carter. He has made guest appearances on many TV shows. Shows he has appeared on include Lou Grant, MASH, Barney Miller, Cheers, and Homicide: Life on the Street. Currie died on December 22, 2009.[1]
