Metal-Expo is an exhibition, a key business platform for leading steel producers and users. It has been held yearly since 1995 in Moscow at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre and the Crocus Expo International, since 1999 in November.
Metal-Expo, JSC is a full member of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, and Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers. The company is an associate member of The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).[1] Metal-Expo exhibition is endorsed by The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, International Metallurgists Union, Russian Union of Metal Exporters, Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers, The International Union of Metallurgical Equipment Producers (Metallurgmash), and Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Metal-Expo International Industrial Exhibition
More than 700 exhibitors from 33 countries participated in the 2008 Metal-Expo exhibition. Annually more than 30 000 professionals in all segments of the steel and related industries including machine-building, transportation, logistics, metalworking, stockholding etc. visit the event. All the major Russian, CIS, European, and Asian steel companies traditionally participate in Metal-Expo. More than 4 000 professionals work on the stands during the event.
The exhibition presents the whole range of contemporary equipment, technologies, and products of the ferrous and non-ferrous industries. Its main goal is stirring up the use of innovative technologies and to increase metal and steel products consumption in the Russian market. For many years Metal-Expo has been the main meeting place for professional steel makers and consumers so forming a mature metal and steel market in Russia. More than 500 General Managers and CEOs, thousands of leading specialists in the steel industry, representatives of state institutions and governmental bodies in charge of the economical policy traditionally visit the event. The event provides them a good opportunity to discuss strategies of development of the industry, prospects of development of cooperation with partners, equipment and technologies suppliers, to meet face to face with customers, find new sales markets, conclude agreements on metal and steel products supplies etc.
The program of events of the exhibition includes some 60 conferences, seminars, presentations, and round tables on all the aspects of the steel business with more than 500 speakers. Delegates of the conferences have an opportunity to discuss all the problems of the steel industry, trends in development of supplies to metal and steel consuming industries including construction, automotive industry, tubes and pipes manufacture etc. More than 3 000 professionals take part in the events.
Metal-Expo’2009, 15th International Industrial Exhibition consists of 15 major segments of the steel and related industries:
