Kong made her acting debut in many television commercials of the 1990s[1], and appeared in some of Andy Lau's music video concerts. After joining with Asia Television Limited (ATV) and in 1997, she landed her first lead role in television drama Forrest Cat. In 2009, Kong joined Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and gained widespread popularity and critical success for her performance as Angela Auntie in Beauty Knows No Pain (2010), which garnered her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2010 TVB Anniversary Awards.
