Megumu Okada (岡田芽武 Okada Megumu?, born 15 March 1971 in Tokyo) is a Japanese manga artist, best known as the creator of the series Shadow Skill and Saint Seiya Episode.G.

Works

In 1992, Megumu Okada begins the creation of his first major work, Shadow Skill,[1] a martial arts manga published by Kodansha[2] and serialized in several Japanese magazines, including Comic Gamma, Monthly Dragon Junior and Afternoon. Shadow Skill was also later adapted by Zero-G Room into a series of four original video animations between 1995 and 1996, and by Studio Deen into a 26 episode television series called Shadow Skill - Egi (影技~えいぎ Shadō Sukiru Eigi?) in 1998.[3]

In 1999, he creates the manga Nirai Kanai (ニライカナイ 遙かなる根の国 Nirai Kanai: Harukanaru Ne no Kuni?), which was serialized in the magazine Afternoon and published by Kodansha. This work is six volumes long and was completed in 2003.[4]

In 2002, he begins writing and illustrating the spin-off manga Saint Seiya Episode.G, based on Masami Kurumada's Saint Seiya universe. Published by Akita Shoten and serialized in the monthly magazine Champion Red, this is presently an ongoing work.[5]
