Tilapia zebra Boulenger, 1899The Zebra Mbuna (Maylandia zebra) is a species of fish in the Cichlidae family. It is a popular aquarium fish, although many aquarium books and hobbyists continue to refer to the species by a junior synonym, Pseudotropheus zebra, while some ichthyologists prefer the name Metriaclima zebra.
It is found in Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. Its natural habitat is freshwater lakes.
