Masakazu Fujiwara (born 6 March 1981 in Ōkawachi, Hyōgo), in Japanese 藤原正和, is Japanese long-distance runner, who specializes in the marathon. He trains at Honda Sports team.[1]
He graduated the Chuo University. He participated four times in the Hakone Ekiden. He won the half marathon at the 2001 Summer Universiade in Beijing. In 2003 he began to compete in marathon, he finished 3rd with a time of 2:08:12 at the 2003 Lake Biwa Marathon. He represented Japan at the marathon at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics, but he could not compete the event due to a knee injury.[2]
He won the 2010 Tokyo Marathon with a time of 2:12:19, set on February 28, 2010.[3]
