Premise
Placido Lopez can't stand providing for his family all by himself. In his small apartment lives: his wife Renata, son Plutarco, daughter Martina, father Don Arnoldo, sister-in-law "Licha", and niece La Nena, which sums up to seven people. With the arrival of two more people: Plutarco's new wife Gaby and Don Arnoldo's goddaughter Tecla, the family completes nine people. To Placido's discontent, Plutarco and Gaby declare that they're expecting a child: the tenth person for Placido to provide for. In later episodes, it is discovered that La Nena has a boyfriend, Aldolfo, who later is incoporated into the family because of La Nena's pregnancy. In La Casa del Millón (the series last episode of Season 1), Plácido remarks each family members distinctive attributes, and his worry of living in a small home. Then, a phone call from a contest states that they are in for winning a 5-bedroom house property-tax free–only if they answer five "simple" questions.[4]
