Irvine, North AyrshireNationality Scottish Political party Conservatives Website www.markmenzies.org.uk Mark Andrew Menzies[2] (18 May 1971) is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Fylde in Lancashire since 2010.
After standing as the Conservative candidate for Glasgow Govan in 2001 and Selby in 2005, Menzies was added to David Camerons "A-List" in 2006 and was selected for Fylde in November 2008[3] and elected at the 2010 general election, when he gained 22,826 votes, 52.2% of the total.
In November 2010, Menzies was one of seven newly elected MPs to be chosen as a Parliamentary Private Secretary to a Minister of the Government. He is currently PPS to Charles Hendry, Minister of State for the Department of Energy and Climate Change.[4] Before his arrival in parliament Menzies had been a supermarket executive, working for three of the largest chains. He lives in St Annes.
