Mario Luna is the pen name of Spanish author and entertainer Luis Guerrero (born in Valencia, Spain, on April 8, 1976).^[1] He is a dating coach.

Biography

Writer, dating coach and founder of Seducción Científica S.L., the company he still runs, Mario Luna was born in Valencia, (Spain) on April 8, 1976.

In 2001 he moved to Formentera, a small, exotic island where he started to work as tourist entertainer and shared a house with a group of Italian "casanovas" who—according to Mario Luna—taught him to radically change the way he understood attraction and dating. Some of them became very influential and would be quoted later in two of his books.^[2]

From 2003 to 2007, Mario Luna lived and worked in several cities of Europe (Manchester, London, Madrid). In this period, he claims he kept writing notes on female sexual behavior based on his own experiences, with attraction and dating, and on the study of several pick-up gurus, as well as evolutionary psychologists and authors.

In April 2007, he published his first seduction manual, Sex Code,^[3] with the Spanish publisher Nowtilus. In less than two years, this book sold more than 100,000 copies around the world,^[4] was translated into Russian and Polish.

Two years later, in March 2009, he published his second seduction book, Sex Crack,^[5] with Espasa Calpe.

Another two years later, in February 2011, he published his third seduction book, Apocalipsex,^[6] also with Espasa Calpe.

In his books, he quotes authors such us Richard Dawkins, Matt Ridley, Steven Pinker, Geoffrey Miller or Robert Cialdini, Ross Jeffries, Mystery, David Deangelo, Juggler (pick-up artist) (Wayne Elise), "Tyler Durden" aka Owen Cook, and others.

Controversy

Some people accuse Mario Luna of swindling and plagiarism, because the method that Mario says that he invented, "el método SC", is a copy of Mystery Method and Nick Savoy.^[7][8] In addition also takes the point of view that his first book Sexcode is a translation/summary of the main books of pickup artists:
