The Marathon Group is an Indian real estate development corporation, established in 1969 by Mr. Ramniklal Shah, Founder & Chairman [1].

The Marathon Group has developed over 70 projects with a built-up area of over 2,000,000 sq ft (190,000 m2). The Group’s ongoing projects, worth over 1 billion USD, are likely to create over 8 million sq. ft. in Mumbai in next few years and tied up land bank in Mumbai Metropolitan Region of around 1000 acres. The Group has developed many High-rise residences and Corporate & IT parks in an around Mumbai [2].

History

The Marathon Group was the first private sector entity to introduce the concept of modern town planning in its projects in the year 1922. Using the low risk, high return land bank model in India, the Group developed mill land properties after resolving complex labour and asset reconstruction issues in Mumbai. The projects completed till date are:
