For the baseball player, see Manny Martinez (baseball).
Manny Martínez, known simply as "Manny", was the original drummer for The Misfits. He played drums in a number of Lodi, NJ bands. As a veteran of the local scene, Manny had played in bands with Glenn Danzig, and in January 1977, was asked by Danzig to drum for his first serious musical project, The Misfits. After two months of rehearsals, Manny completed the band's lineup by introducing Danzig to his friend Gerald Caiafa (who later adopted the stage name Jerry Only). Manny's jazzy style of drum playing was recorded only on the first single, "Cough/Cool". By the end of 1977, and after only a few live shows, Manny left the band due and was replaced by Jim Catania.
