Jessica Fox (born 11 June 1994)[1] is a French-born, Australian slalom canoer who has competed since 2006.[2] At the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore, she won the gold in the girls' K-1 slalom event.[3]

Fox also won a bronze medal in the C-1 event at the 2010 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Tacen.[4]

Personal life

Fox's parents are Richard and Myriam, who together won one Olympic and thirteen world slalom championship medals between them between 1979 and 1996.[2][5][6][7][8][9] Fox's mother is her current coach and has been doing so since 2005.[2] Her father is Second Vice President of the International Canoe Federation.[10]

Fox lives in Sydney and trains in Penrith.[2] She is 166 cm (5 ft 5 in) tall and weighs 60 kg (130 lb).[2]

Her first competition took place in Tasmania in 2006.[2] Her ultimate goal is to compete in the actual Summer Olympics.[2]
