Gorgama is a very small village in Samastipur District, Bihar, India, near Sahpur Patory. From two sides it is surrounded by river BAYA. The population of this village is approximately 1800. It is dominated by Bhumihar Brahmins. The founder of HANDS Foundation Mr. Vidhu Ranjan Gopal also belong to this village only. His concepts of Rural Development was highly appreciated by ex-president of India Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. Primarily the entire village was dependent on agriculture.
