(Whitehead, 1896)The Mindoro Imperial Pigeon (Ducula mindorensis) is a bird species in the family Columbidae. It is endemic to the Philippines.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
It was formerly classified as a Vulnerable species by the IUCN[1]. But new research has shown it to be rarer than it was believed. Consequently, it is uplisted to Endangered status in 2008[2].
