Driss R. Temsamani إدريس التمسماني is a Moroccan American published Author and a Community Organizer. Driss was born and raised in Tangiers, Morocco. He migrated to the United States in 1986. He currently lives in Miami, Florida where he works for Citigroup as Strategic Planning Head and also involved with the Moroccan American community on a broad rage of social and advocacy topics.

Career

In 2004, Driss Riffi Temsamani was one of the first Moroccan Americans to publish a book in the USA along with Laila Lalami. His book Rewind, a drama story of the human spirit's struggle to find happiness while away from home, was released on Amazon [1] and Barnes and Noble in 2005.[2]

Driss has published social and economy related essays and interviews in Actualidad Economica, Business News Americas,[3] Los Andes Económico, Business Technology News and Latin Trade,.[4][5]

Driss Temsamani is the founder and president of SOS Morocco, co-founder of the Morocco Foundation, Chief Advisor of Le Citoyen Marocain, founder of Moroccan Americans for Fritchey Movement and a Board Director of the Moroccan American Coalition where he was elected President in 2008.

Driss Temsamani has been featured in Essor Magazine in Success Stories of Moroccans Living Overseas.[6] He was also among the Moroccan Americans covered by TelQuel magazine in The American Moroccan Dream article.[7]

Temsamani is Head of Strategic Planning at Citigroup where he is responsible for Marketing and Business Planning. Driss held several roles with Citi in Product Management, Operations and was CIO for the e-Commerce division based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Before Citi, Driss worked at Telemundo TV Network and Global Magazine. Driss was Professor at Universidad de Palermo in 2001 and has been occasional guest professor at Florida International University and Nova South Eastern University. Driss Temsamani received his MBA from Columbus University and an Executive MBA in Industrial marketing from Austral University.

Driss Temsamani is the recipient of The Jerry Goldenberg First place award for direct marketing in 2002 and The Strathmore Who’s Who Leadership Millennium Award in 2000. He was named Visionary of the Year by Compaq in 1999.
