They currently play in the Northern Division of the Iraqi Premier League. Duhok is considered one of the most successful teams in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and Iraq . 2008/2009 season Duhok s.c came 4th in the league after missing out on an Arab Champions League spot after losing to Al-Quaw Al-Jawiya 0–3, In the 2009/2010 season Duhok FC made it to the final of iraq premier league and won it 1–0 against Talaba SC becoming the champions for the first time.
