Baghdad FC (Arabic: نادي بغداد‎), is an Iraqi football team based in Baghdad.

History

On July 1, 1957 Al-Baladiyat (Arabic: البلدياتliterally: Municipalities) were formed by the merger of Maslaha Naqil Al-Rakab (Arabic: مصلحة نقل الركابliterally: Passenger Transport Department) and Esalet Al-Mai (Arabic: إساله المايliterally: Water Liquefaction).[1] In 1977 Al-Baladiyat renamed to Al-Amana (Arabic: الأمانة‎)[2], until August 5, 2009 the team renamed again but to Baghdad FC.

Stadium

Since 2011 Baghdad FC have got their own stadium. The Baghdad Stadium holds 5,000 people.
