Rashami Desai (Hindi: राशमी देसी ; born Divya Desai on 4 August 1986). She is an Indian Television actress. She is best known for playing the role of Tapasya Thakur (Tappu) in the popular television soap opera, Uttaran on Colors. She has also acted in Bhojpuri cinema.

Early life

Rashami Desai was born as Divya Desai in Nagpur, Maharshtra, India. She did her schooling from J B Khot High School. Rashami is also a trained Kathak and Bharatnatyam dancer. She married Nandish Sandhu on 9 February 2011.^[1]

Career

Rashami Desai (Divya Desai) who started her career at a very early age got her first break in Ravan on Zee TV followed by Meet Mila De Rabba on Sony TV and started acting in the show Uttaran on Colors on June 20, 2009.

She has worked in few other serials including Pari Hoon Main.^[2] She has also done episodes for Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai. She has done reality shows like Comedy Circus, Maha Sangram, Zara Nachke Dikha, Crime Patrol, Big Money, Kitchen Champion Season 2.
