Prior to his appointment he was Deputy General Director of Corporate Relations of Telefónica for Latin America from 2005 to 2010, and Director of Regulatory and Government Affairs for BellSouth.[1] From 1996 to 2000, Molano was a Commissioner and President of the Colombian Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (CRT), where he led the liberalization of the Colombian Telecommunications Industry introducing competition to the mobile and fixed telecommunications markets.[2]
