Dhaunkal is a village in Gujranwala district, Punjab, Pakistan.[1] Dhaunkal is one the biggest and oldest villages in tehsil Wazirabad, Gujranwala. Dhaunkal is mostly famous for Darbar of HAZRAT SAKHI SARWAR SULTAN (A very famous spiritual saint of Indian subcontinent). Mazaar of HAZRAT PEER SARDAR SHAH BADSHAH is also situated in Mehi Wala, Dhaunkal where every year people come to pray to Allah.
There are three main castes, KALAIR, JOVINDHA and REHMANI. Muslims are said to be the real owner of the village.
Main sources of income of people of dhaunkal are overseas Pakistanis and farming. Dhaunkal is famous for producing high quality rice. People from Dhaunkal are found all over the world, mostly in Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Italy, Spain, England and U.S.A.
