Dhadday[1] is a village near Lakhpur Tehsil Phagwara, Kapurthala district, in Punjab, India.[2]

Demographics

According to the 2001 Census[3], Dhadday has a population of 1,068 people. Neighbouring villages include Lakhpur, Bir Dhadoli, Dhadoli, Chak Prema, Wariah, Gulabgarh, Khatti, and Sangatpur. The nearest police station is at Rawal Pindi and Phagwara.

Dhadday, also known as Chak Dhadday, is a village 4 miles out from Phagwara. The Village is split into two both called Dhadday, but in 2009 one part of the village was renamed Dr. Ambedkar Pind, although many still know it as Dhadday.

Not far from the village, in 2010 a military airfield was successfully constructed. Small planes land and take off from the airfield daily which can be visibily seen from roof tops in the village.

The main two surnames in the village are Banger and Dhadda which form from the village name.
