Devakottai taluk is a taluk of Sivagangai district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Devakottai

Population

According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Devakottai had a population of 240,839 with 65,472 males and 70,905 females. There were 1083 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 75.31. The total number of households was 31,260.
