Desmond Frederick Carroll (September 2, 1938 – January 24, 2002) was an Anglican priest.
He was born and raised in southern Ireland, where he attended Trinity College Dublin. He obtained degrees in English and Social Science. He attended a summer study program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He was ordained in 1970, and served at the Church of Ireland in Dublin. He emigrated to Canada in 1976, serving as rector of St. David's church in Castlegar, British Columbia and as associate rector of St. Phillips in Vancouver.
His career ended as the Dean of the Yukon, at Christ Church Cathedral, Diocese of Yukon. He held the position for 16 years, 1985 to 2001. During this time, he was also the chaplain to the Yukon division of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
In 1992, he received the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal for his explanatory work.
At the time of his death, he lived in Victoria, British Columbia.
