Derek Noonan (born 1947 in St. Helens — died 1 May 2009 in St. Helens)[1] was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s and '80s who at club level played rugby union (RU) for St. Helens RUFC, playing at Wing, i.e. number 11 or 14, and at representative level played rugby league (RL) for England, and Lancashire, and at club level for Warrington, St. Helens, and Fulham RLFC, playing at Centre, i.e. number 3 or 4.

Noonan won caps for England while at Warrington in 1975 against Wales, in the 1975 Rugby League World Cup against France, and Wales, and in 1975 against Papua New Guinea.[2] He also travelled with St Helens to Sydney for the unofficial 1976 World Club Challenge match against their champions, Eastern Suburbs Roosters.
