Delhi Private School Sharjah^[1], is affiliated to CBSE New Delhi. Established in 2000, the first Delhi Public School, in Mathura Road,on Delhi has become a center for teaching both boys and girls. Built on approximately 582,000 square feet plot with state of the art facilities, the school is located in the school zone in Sharjah industrial area No 16.

Education

The school offers education from UKG to class XII.DPS Sharjah has introduced the unique^{[citation needed]} Comprehensive Learning Program (CLP). The school follows the CBSE System. There are Formative (FA) and Summative assesments (SA) in the academic year.

Primary and Senior wing

• The primary wing of the school consists of students from KG-2 TO Grade-5.
• The senior wing has students from Grade-6 to Grade-12.
• Apart from this DPS,Sharjah has introduced 'Praveshika' which is specially for School beginners

Facilities

• Academics-The school has Chemistry, Physics and Biology labs.There are computer labs with computer for each student and Smart Classes in classrooms.
• Sports and Games-: There are Swimming Pools, Multipurpose Auditorium for badminton and table tennis, Lush Green Flood Lit Cricket Ground, Acrylic Basketball Ground, Volley Ball Court and Stage.
• Other facilities-:The two clinics at DPS managed by a doctor and 3 nurses. The clinics are equipped to meet emergencies. Regular health check-up of students is done and a record is maintained. Parents are informed if the nurse finds that a child needs special medical attention.
• Books of all classes and articles of stationery can be purchased from the school book shop
• A fleet of 58 buses are in operation taking the students from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Um-Al-Quwain and Dhaid.

• Apart from the academics, the school has the Physical Education (P.E) program ,in the regular classes and also other Extra Curricular activities like swimming classes, dance classes, music classes,etc.

• In between the academic year,there are a number of field trips and long trips. Also there are tours to places out of the country like India, Nepal, Hongkong and many other places.

Annual Day

After the Summative assesments (SA) the school conducts the annual day program. Many activities like drama,dance ,singing and orchestra are presented before the audience. All the parents are invited to see their child's performance. Chief Guests are invited and it is a very enthusiastic day for all the members of the DPS family.

Throughout the year , there are competitions of Dance (Folk, Classical & Western) , Poetry (English & Hindi),etc.There are swimming competitions,Basketball , Tennis, Cricket and Volleyball tournaments.
