The Airport has one terminal which is divided into two sections; International and Domestic. International flights leave to Canada, Europe, South America and the Caribbean. Primary domestic routes are to Caracas, Maturín and Ciudad Bolivar. The only current regular services to/from Europe are with Condor from Frankfurt, however these flights operate via other Caribbean Islands such as Barbados, Grenada and Tobago. As of May 2011, Condor have suspended their Frankfurt service due to low demand.

The airport resides at an elevation of 74 feet (23 m) above mean sea level. It has two asphalt paved runways: 09/27 measuring 10,499 by 150 feet (3,200 × 46 m) and 09L/27R which measures 9,958 by 100 feet (3,035 × 30 m).[1]
