Ectoedemia intimella is a moth of the Nepticulidae family. It is widely distributed in northern, western and central Europe, but not yet recorded from Norway. In the south only known from northern Italy, northern former Yugoslavia and Rumania.
The wingspan is 5.3-6.8 mm. Adults are on wing in June and July. There is one generation per year.
The larvae feed on Salix aurita, Salix babylonica, Salix caprea, Salix cinerea, Salix dasyclados, Salix fragilis, Salix pentandra, Salix phylicifolia and Salix viminalis. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The larve first hollows the midrib. Only in its last stage the larva leaves the midrib and makes a triangular blotch, adjacent to the midrib.
