Dead State Developer(s) DoubleBear Productions Designer(s) Brian Mitsoda Platform(s) Microsoft Windows Release date(s) TBA Genre(s) Role-playing video game Dead State is an upcoming turn-based role-playing video game set in a zombie apocalypse scenario. The player will be in charge of a local school sheltering survivors, and is tasked with defending the shelter from the zombie hordes and other enemies.[1] Designer Brian Mitsoda stated that the game is intended to be very dynamic, with each playthrough forming a unique experience.[2] Dead State has been announced for the PC with no set release date. The game will be utilizing The Age of Decadence's game engine.[3] Mitsoda's own experiences living in Miami, Florida during Hurricane Andrew are an influence on the game design, as he intends to "work it into a broader examination of how humans deal with a crisis beyond their control."[4]
