The Rt Rev David Rokeby Maddock [1] was Bishop of Dunwich from 1967[2] to 1976. He was born on 30 May 1915 [3] and educated at Clifton and St Catherine's College, Oxford. After ordination he was a Curate at Chard [4] and then Vicar of Wilton, before 14 years as Rector of Wareham[5] and finally (before elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon of Sherborne. He died on 14 August 1984[6].
