Jones (born circa-1901) was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s who at representative level played rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Ebbw Vale RFC, Risca RFC, and Newport RFC, playing at Prop, i.e. number 1 or 3, and at club level played rugby league (RL) for Wigan, playing at Prop, Second-row, Loose forward/Lock, i.e. number 8 or 10, 11 or 12, or 13, during the era of contested scrums.[1]

International Honours
Dai Jones won caps for Wales (RU) while at Newport RFC in 1926 against England, and Scotland, and in 1927 against Ireland, France, and England.[2]
Change of codes
Dai Jones played for Wales (RU) against England in the Five Nations Championship on 15 January 1927, and less than a month later, played for Wigan (RL) against Pemberton RLFC in the Challenge Cup on 12 February 1927.
